About the Flyers

Our Story

The Carolina Flyers weren’t created because we wanted another baseball team. They were created because we believed young athletes deserve a place where character matters just as much as championships.

Founded by Brian and Megan Raby & Blake and Anna Fuller, the Carolina Flyers were born from a shared vision of building the kind of baseball program they wanted for their own families and community. Like many baseball parents, they experienced the highs of youth sports as well as the challenges that can come with them. Rather than simply wishing for something different, they decided to create it.

From the beginning, the mission has been clear: provide a competitive baseball program where players are coached with purpose, families are valued, and every athlete has the opportunity to grow in confidence, resilience, and love for the game.

What began as a single team with a shared vision quickly became something bigger. In just one year, the Carolina Flyers have grown from one team to two for the upcoming season—a testament to the players, families, and coaches who have embraced the culture from day one. While we’re proud of that growth, our mission has remained unchanged.

The Flyers are built on the belief that growth is more important than wins. We compete to win every time we step on the field, but we never lose sight of the bigger picture. A player’s effort, attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to support their teammates matter more than any final score. Championships are exciting, but the greatest victories happen when players leave our program more confident, more resilient, and better prepared for life than when they arrived.

Today, the Carolina Flyers proudly represent Johnston County with a commitment to developing skilled, competitive athletes in a positive, family-centered environment. We strive to create a culture where hard work is expected, sportsmanship is celebrated, teammates become lifelong friends, and families feel like they truly belong.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just building baseball players—we’re helping shape the next generation of leaders. And once you’re a Flyer, you’ll always have a place in our family.

Flyers Mission Statement

Our goal is to create a positive, disciplined environment where players can grow as individuals, support one another, and learn to love the game, all while proudly representing Johnston County and the Carolina Flyers name.
